Kongsberg Digital is the provider of the K-Sim maritime simulation systems that enables efficient and realistic training of students and crew to build vital skills that promote safety, cost-efficiency and sustainability in operations at sea.

Our K-Sim simulators range from full-scale bridge simulators with realistic features, to cloud-based training to enable engaging exercises anytime and anywhere.

We are now looking for our new QA Engineer for Ship Bridge Simulators, located in Horten.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree within Computer Engineering or engineering education with professional experience in Software Development discipline from before.

Experience and skills:

• Experience with developing and executing test cases.
• Experience working with complex software systems.
• Knowledge of investigating and fault finding on software systems.
• Knowledge of system development processes, such as scrum.
• Knowledge about the maritime industry is an advantage.
• Programming knowledge and experience writing automated test.
• Comfortable with speaking and written English.

Main tasks:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and execute them for new feature development.
• Participate in regression testing on release candidates.
• Investigate and document fault reports.
• Maintain test environment and lab equipment.
• Implement both hands-on and automatic tests.
• Contribute to improving the QA process.
