Your Role
The Systems and Services Team is responsible for maintenance and project deliveries to KONGSBERG clients within Canada and around the world.
Kongsberg Digital Simulation is now hiring a Field Service Representative.
Your main responsibility will be nothing short of extraordinary:
- Perform Service/upgrading/maintenance/test of Software and Hardware.
- Perform project implementations according to scope of work to achieve on site acceptance.
- Support customers related to incoming requests, register in CRM, follow progress implement solutions leading to closure of requests
- Produce service reports, project reports and description of the system for the systems that are in the responsibility of the Field Service Representative
- Ensure timely submission of all project deliverables
- Perform Customer Acceptance tests
- Participate and/or conduct Education/Courses related to KONGSBERG systems.
- Financial awareness for S&S related contracts.
- Follow KDI Simulations procedures and guidelines.
- Manage customer expectations and communications in timely manner with respect to technical freezes
- Work close to Program Manager to achieve projects sign off
- Liaise with sales responsible and Program Manager for quotations
Having a background and experience in marine simulation or at sea experience would be incredibly valuable:
- Equivalent combination of educational background and experience
- 3-5 Years of experience from technical service and or technical Project deliveries of real time systems
- Proven technical skills in MS client server environment and hardware service
- An understanding of real-time system complexity and vulnerability
- A good system engineering and/or technical background within a software development environment
- Knowledge within Marine and/or Military maritime systems and navigation terminology
- Must be able to obtain secret security clearance with DND Canada
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with customers and peers.
- Proven interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication
- abilities.
- Strong communication skills
- Good English language skills
- Capable of working independently
- Experience in the simulation industry, specifically with Naval Trainers
- Ability to handle HW implementations that requires hand carry of equipment within normal HR regulations.
- Ability to work inside consoles, connect cables, investigate HW
- When necessary to travel adhere to company travel policies in force and when necessary to carry out role responsibilities and activities
