About the Role

The Kognitwin Infrastructure team is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining Kognitwin cloud infrastructure. This team enables products that provide industrial digital twins for sectors Electrical grids, Oil & Gas platforms, Chemicals etc. This team is very critical for our Kognitwin product. Kognitwin maximises business performance and derives more value for our customers by providing a single surface to monitor operations, calibrate settings and apply changes. Our customers get a holistic overview of their facilities and can drill down to individual work area. 

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer & Security Champion to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure while also championing security best practices across the teams. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, protecting our organization from potential security threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Building, securing, and maintaining infrastructure with a strong security focus.
• Deep understanding and proactive implementation of security best practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with the security team to respond to incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Actively promotes security best practices across the organization and provides training.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
• 8-10 years of proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on security, preferably in a hybrid cloud/on-premises environment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, etc.).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and frameworks, with hands-on experience in vulnerability management, threat assessment, and compliance.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
