Your Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be an integral part of the Americas Growth team.Being part of the team, you will work alongside KONGSBERG’S trusted salesforce to offer the best suited digital solutions to clients. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients and play a crucial role in driving our sales pipeline. You will identify and qualify leads [CK2] , work closely with our sales and marketing teams, and develop relationships with key decision-makers. These prospects will be in different stages in their digital journey, your goal is to set the stage for successful sales engagements by understanding the prospect’s industry, client needs and demonstrating the value of our solutions. As a Sales Development Representative you generate leads withing target accounts with speed , identify pain points and convert into a meeting with a growth manager in our sales team.
Expected years of experience and skills minimum required: 2+ years working experience, ideally within the Heavy Asset Industry
Your main responsibilities include:
1. Lead Generation:
a. Generate awareness and engagement in key verticals and within key accounts
b. Identify and outreach to potential clients through various channels, including social media, industry events, and online databases
c. Leverage sales processes, tools & capabilities (including outbound calling, emailing, webinars, inbound lead follow up, and overall lead management) to connect with target personas, generate qualified leads and introductory meetings for Growth Managers.
d. Develop, implement and execute (creative) strategies to generate qualified leads and expand the company's customer base
2. Initial Outreach:
a. Build Account Plans to determine sales strategy and approach
b. Craft and execute multi channel outreach (ie. Email, Phone, LinkedIn) to introduce our digital solutions
Qualification:
a. Qualify leads using sales qualification methodology and schedule discovery meetings for Growth Managers to convert into opportunities Maintain detailed records of interactions and follow-up activities in our CRM system
4. Collaboration:
a. Work with growth managers and other growth team members to ensure lead generation is aligned with sales strategy.
b. Maintain regular touch points with Growth Managers to share progress in target account, to plan and execute logo acquisition strategy and align on upcoming events
5. Relationship Building:
a. Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations
b. Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions
6. Product Knowledge:
a. Develop a deep understanding of our technology and its applications
b. Clearly communicate the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to prospective clients
7. Performance Tracking:
a. Meet and exceed individual and team targets for lead generation, qualification, and attended discovery meetings
b. Report on key metrics, performance, and insights to the sales manager
Qualifications
· Having experience as an Sales Development rep in SaaS, Oil&Gas (Upstream)and/or the Energy industry is preferred
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
· Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
· Positive, Self-motivated, driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
· Ability to develop relationships at every level of an organization
· Familiarity with digital twin technology and its applications is a plus.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
· Hybrid (3-days in office)
