Beyond being a virtual replica of the customer’s industrial facilities, Kognitwin, our dynamic digital twin delivers a rich framework for advanced digitalization and analytics, including a range of solutions that can be customized to attend the industry needs to deliver digitalization at scale.

We are building the next gen web applications on our Kognitwin platform to enable untapped value streams for our customers in O&G and other process industries through digitalization.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Define and own solution architecture for customer-focused digital twin and analytics products.

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, event-driven solutions on Kubernetes in Azure and compliant with enterprise standards.

• Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps aligned with Kognitwin’s strategy.

• Provide hands-on leadership: build PoCs, evaluate technologies, and guide implementation.

• Lead architecture discussions, review designs, and ensure performance, security, and compliance.

• Review solution designs and provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with architecture goals.

• Lead architecture discussions and drive key design decisions across engineering teams.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor senior developers and technical leads on best practices.

• Establish and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, and code quality.

• Help teams resolve complex technical challenges and improve delivery velocity.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with product managers, UX, domain experts, and engineering teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.

• Work closely with DevOps, security, and data teams for seamless solution delivery.

• Collaborate with other architects and technical leaders across Kongsberg Digital to define a shared technology vision.

• Represent the technical strategy in customer workshops and design reviews.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Computer Science, IT) from a reputed university.

• Certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture, TOGAF, or Kubernetes are a strong plus.

Experience

• 10–18 years in software development, including 5+ years in solution/enterprise architecture.

• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale, web and data-driven solutions.

• Experience with digital twin platforms, IoT ecosystems, or industrial analytics in Oil & Gas, Utilities, Power, or Chemical industries.

• Demonstrated expertise in mentoring teams and working in globally distributed environments.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in solution architecture, system design, and scalable microservices.

• Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and real-time data integration.

• Hands-on experience with:

   Kubernetes (AKS or any others) and containerized deployments. 

   API-first development (REST & GraphQL).

   MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).

   TimescaleDB or other time-series databases.

  Azure core services (AKS, Storage, Event Hub, Databases).

• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, security, performance, and compliance practices.

• Exposure to AI/ML-based analytics and predictive maintenance solutions.

• Experience working with SaaS products using component-driven architectures.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of digital twin frameworks and 3D visualization technologies.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki) for building reliable, observable systems.

• Domain knowledge in process safety, maintenance, inspections.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and event streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs).
