We are looking for extraordinary individuals to join us on our mission to digitalize these industries, and to support our growth globally we are looking for a Contract Manager. 

The open position is within our Maritime Simulation business unit, headquartered in Horten, Norway. The unit consists of approx. 170 employees developing, selling and implementing market-leading simulation technology used for training and research in the maritime-, offshore- and naval industries worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial processes i.e. public tenders, sales contracts, maintenance agreements, consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements, cooperation and partner agreements, vendor agreements, market representative and reseller agreements for our software, hardware and services.

• Manage the resolution of contractual disputes and involve external legal resources as required.

• Partner with and advise the Managing Director and commercial team within the organisation.

• Provide support to our global operations on contractual, commercial and administrative matters.

• Prepare and deliver training on contractual, commercial and compliance matters to our global operation.

• Support compliance screenings towards business partners/customers/vendors, with assistance from Kongsberg Digital’s central Compliance function.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in law. Candidates with non-Norwegian law degrees are welcome to apply. Candidates with extensive contract experience but no legal education will also be considered.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within contract management, legal advice, and contract negotiations for global operations.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills in oral and written English. Norwegian skills are a plus but not a prerequisite. 

• Strong analytical and research skills.

• Business mindset and strong commercial knowledge.

• International experience would be beneficial.

• Experience with business partner compliance screening would be beneficial.

• An awareness and understanding of tax implications would be beneficial.

• Experience within technology, software, hardware and / or maritime would be beneficial.
