Director of Customer Transformation
KDI is now seeking a driven, experienced, and forward-looking Director of Customer Transformation to report into the Vice President, Customer Transformation.
Kongsberg Digital is embarking on its next evolution as an organisation. After the successful launch of the organisation in 2016 and becoming a 1000+ strong organisation with market leading technology helping redefine how leaders in the maritime, oil & gas and utilities industries operate; KDI has restructured its commercial operation into a global function which is responsible for driving new revenue, expanding KDI’s client base and developing strategic commercial relationship across all industries and product sets.
KDI is now seeking a driven, experienced, and forward-looking Director of Customer Transformation to report into the Vice President, Customer Transformation. This is a vital role that carries the responsibility of guiding clients on their digital transformation journey, developing compelling value cases, and furthering the development of industrial templates for the Industrial Work Surface (IWS) leveraging Kongsberg’s digital platform. This role will work closely with client leadership at all levels and their chosen systems integrator to ensure common vision around the IWS to support deployment and sustainment of the solution.
The responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the reviewing client requirements, building business cases, running workshops with clients and their system’s integrators for alignment, business analysis on client competitive performance KPI’s, and product demonstrations to illustrate the end-to-end application of an Industrial Work Surface. .
This candidate should be a leader and someone who carries gravitas and change management abilities.
In short – this person needs to be a Gamechanger – someone who is excited and driven about building new and effective processes and being a key player in the next evolution of Kongsberg Digital.
The ideal candidate will someone that has:
- Have deep domain understanding and experience in at least one heavy process industry vertical, such as marine, upstream, or downstream LNG/Refining.
- Demonstrable commercial operations leadership experience from the B2B SaaS industry that possesses solid understanding of operations/execution, and best practices within a commercial business unit.
- A clear understanding of how to transform an organization, where to start, how to stage actions, and how to balance all the key elements to make a transformation successful (governance, structure, process, KPI’s, technology, etc).
- Experience in process improvement, change management in both sales and customer success contexts.
- Ability to work independently and remain accountable to a client while maintaining strong internal team relationships.
- Technically savvy individual with experience with digital
Nice to have:
- A background in a commercial role with a focus on large value deals and multi-year sales cycles.
- Working in a best-in-class environment i.e. an organisation recognised for its outstanding organizational processes.
- Previous experience of running teams and an understanding of talent management principles.
- Energy and or maritime software sales experience

- Always work on continuous improvement, whether in the sales execution or customer lifecycle management systems contexts.
- Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer’s team and wider KDI stakeholders to ensure organization-wide alignment on value cases and client’s transformation vision.
