In this position you will be:

• A frontrunner developing the dynamic K-Spice Process Power Simulator (KPPS)
• Leading the development of KPPS and ensure alignment with our Product strategy
• In this position you will be working with development of simulation models for Power flow, Fault currents, Power system dynamics & stability; and Power system model integrated with process model
• Be a part of our core Models and Analytics Software development team
• Collaborate with the Digital Energy KogniTwin Product- & Solutions- teams to ensure compatibility across products
• Work closely with Specialist users amongst Customers and our Product managers
• Manage creative process from ideation and promote ideas that push the product development to create new models and business opportunities
• Identify and address gaps regarding the functionality of KPPS
• Support the implementation and roll-out of the software to our customer portfolio
• Support user teams in Norway, India, and US in using the software
• Develop algorithms that can be utilized for optimizing power consumption
• Verify, validate, and improve existing models for load flow analysis
• Identify energy saving opportunities based on customer process- and power flow models

Models for power system dynamics and stability is a new area we want to focus on.  In this area we are going to develop dynamic models for

•     Synchronous generator

•     Excitation Systems and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR)

•     Wind Energy Generation Systems

We are looking for you that have:

• Experience from power management, power systems, electrical systems, power control, or similar.
• Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, in a relevant technical discipline or in computer science.
  A Bachelor's degree can be sufficient in combination with relevant practical experience
• Experience in C/C++ and/or C# programming
• Interest in how to utilize dynamic simulation software (K-Spice) for Process Power Simulation
• Ability to express physical concepts and relationships in mathematical equations and implement those in code
• Experience or willingness to learn working with Azure DevOps and Git
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly and communicate them onwards to team members
• Familiarity/interest in relevant Digital fields, such as for Big Data, Engineering Data Warehouses, Machine Learning, Time-Series data handling etc.
