Kongsberg Digital is looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer to join our SiteCom ® Team in Bangalore.

As a member of the Software Development community within Kongsberg, you will be responsible for the overall quality assurance while playing a very important role in shaping the applications from a Quality Assurance, Business and Usability perspective. All while working closing with our Global Development, Product and Design teams.

What is SiteCom ®

SiteCom ® is a leading digital oilfield solution of choice in the market and has been helping oil & gas companies for decades to drill safely, quick and cheaply. It is a real-time data aggregation and visualization solution for all phases of well construction and is built on the industry standard WITSML. The solutions help operators optimize their drilling activity and manage subsequent casing and cementing operations. It integrates all the information from the different service providers involved in well construction activities into a common platform and monitors the KPI’s that are important for each of these activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform full SQA cycle for software releases in a fast-pace environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, development and QA team members to understand business requirements
• Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
• Perform Manual Testing (Ad-hoc, Functional, UI, System, Regression Testing, etc.)
• Automating UI and API Testcases
• Manage bugs and test cases on Azure DevOps
• Maintain & execute Test suite on Azure DevOps
• Configuring & Maintaining Test environments
• Following scrum practices

To be a good fit, you have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2-5 years of overall experience in manual testing and automation
• In depth knowledge of Agile Software Development and strong testing concepts
• Experience with API testing.
• Hands-on Automation Experience using WebDriverIO Tool (preferred) or Selenium
• Automation Experience with Playwright tool is a plus
• Proficiency in maintaining test repository with traceability.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Go-getter with an assertive, confident and results oriented outlook.
• Experience in Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipeline is a plus
• Experience in Oil and Gas drilling is a plus.
• Experience of testing and automating real-time systems and huge data sets will be an advantage
• Exposure to web server configuration & deployment will be an advantage
